What is your favorite time of the day?
My favorite time of day is usually the time from sunset to dusk. Depending on the season, mostly fall is when I enjoy this time of day.
The sun is setting and the hues of orange, yellow and sometimes red are covering the sky. The trees have slightly turned color, living in LA you don’t get much of the leaves change until winter. The air is starting to cool from the afternoon heat.
When it gets closer to the end of the year the leaves do end up falling. Walking in the streets and hearing the crunch of the dried leaves bring joy to my ears. Even the thought warms my heart and reminds me of the times I walked home from school.
Thinking back to those moments I remember the peace I would feel. The cool air and the leaves surrounding me brought me happiness that I cannot really explain. I could have been in my darkest mood but when I would go on that little walk it was as if everything else didn’t matter. Of course, that feeling wouldn’t last but I crave those moments; and am envious of my younger self that did not spend more time walking during this time of day.
